Sensors are utilities built in to the “Machine” or “Components” that provide surveillance, data capture and accumulation or transmittal of the telemetry. Sensors and their thresholds for an action are defined on the “Product” screen on the Clarity UI under “Sensor data”.
Select sensor data screen to create or modify an existing one. To create sensor data click on “Add Sensor Data” panel. On the Add sensor data screen specify the name of the sensor, Key and unit field. Specify if the data stream is displayed or not and whether the data stream is a summary field. Specify the longitude and latitude for the “Machine” for the Geo location and specify the sensor error threshold limits for the machine health.
Click create button to save the sensor data. Resulting product screen will now show the added sensor data panel.
New sensor data can be added by clicking on the “Add Sensor Data” panel. An existing sensor data can be modified by the edit icon on the individual sensor data panel. A sensor data panel can be deleted by using a Trash icon next to the edit on each panel.
Events and actions are generated based on the logic that captures an event based on the condition(s) stated and action(s) specified. Events are created and can be modified as needed for the “Machine” on the Clarity UI under “Product” screen and then selecting a specific “Machine”.
Select “Events & Actions” and then click on the “Add Event” panel.
On the “Add Event & Action” screen specify “Event & Action” name, then select “Statement” and define the statement as a trigger. Select a “Data Stream” (a specific Sensor), select “Operator” as the governing logic and specify the exact value to be used for the sensor threshold. Select “Add Actions” and choose the specific action such as “Create Issue”, Send notification etc and populate the resulting fields for the action. Click “Create” to save the result.
Resulting “Product” view will now show the Events and Actions panel with an Edit and Trash icons to save or delete any modifications or to delete a E & A panel.
